Interdisciplinary Artist

Close-up of interdisciplinary artist Sian Fan’s head, partly submerged in murky water, hair in braided bunches and purple object floating in water covering view of nose and mouth.

Sian Fan is an interdisciplinary artist working in London. She has exhibited internationally with venues including Tate Modern, British Council, and the ICA, as well as producing work with Channel 4, the BBC and Google, and was recently longlisted for the Lumen Prize. Her work combines movement, the female body and technology to explore disembodiment and human experience in the digital age. She is interested in the experience of being human in our increasingly digitized and hyperconnected world and seeks to discover new ways for us to coexist with technology. Sian cares about positive innovation and using technology and performance to explore human experience.
