Creative Workshop 1
Social Convention are holding free creative workshops (plus delicious refreshments!) lead by theatre, music and art practitioners on Sunday 4th December 15:00-18:00.
All are welcome and no previous experience is required. Just the desire to have fun and get the creative juices flowing!
We will be sharing our stories and experiences of the Royal Docks area and its history while our workshop leaders guide you through creative activities to explore themes of docklands identity and community. This workshop will focus on the visual element of the piece, led by visual artist Angeline Ferguson, whereby you'll aid the creation of our projected 100 Leagues world, play with projection techniques and learn about the foundations of visaul art practises!
Your own words and experiences will inspire a piece of musical art to be performed at our venue in Caxton Works, E16.
All workshop participants will receive one year's membership to Social Convention - benefits include 10% discount on all food and drink at the café-bar, early access to event tickets and special members only socials) - a free ticket to the live performance, and a £20 voucher to use on any future Social Convention event.
Please register for a free ticket if you would like to attend - we look forward to welcoming you!
NB - these events are for people aged 16 and over. The workshop room is up a flight of stairs, please contact us if this is a problem for you or if you have any other access needs or questions.
