Exploring your Practice through Colour with Darlinda Just Darlinda

Is it possible to be colorful in black and white? Can you “feel” a color? Rainbow Art is an 8 week workshop that uses color to explore different themes as artists. Each week we will examine one color to inspire artists to create work that can incorporate the color in actuality or just in theme, there will be time to delve into the color both physically and artistically with movement and “artists choice” exploration. The themes of the colors explore different aspects of the body and emotions. Students will each finish with a piece of art inspired by one of the colors, these pieces include but are not limited to a performance art piece, drag act, song, dance, script, poetry, painting, or a short story.
Legendary New York performance artist, theatre maker and burlesque star Darlinda Just Darlinda will be teaching this exquisite class designed to unblock and embody your creativity.
