Motion capture and Unreal Engine (Video)
"As a creative Technologist specialising in motion capture I was blown away by the production of Dream! I was inspired to explore the idea of particle simulation effects being driven by human motion; exhibiting the contrast and conflict between human and nature in motion. The piece was created using mocap equipment and the unreal engine to design the particle effects....We’re seeing a bit of a trend where VR headsets are getting smaller and smaller and AR devices are getting closer and closer to our face. We’re seeing the price and availability of devices improve as well. The last year has really shown what technology can do to bring live performance into our homes. I’m really excited to see what ‘in the space’ technologies will be developed to augment live performance for arts venues and events."
